Reviewing the bonuses at Black Lotus was a challenge.

The promotions page does not reveal vital information like rollover requirements, maximum cashouts, and deposit match percentages. I had to take a lot of time carefully combing through the general terms and conditions of the site to learn more, and I even had to contact customer support.

What I found was kind of disappointing. 

The rollover requirements are 60x for most bonuses. They only apply to the bonus amount, not your deposit. Considering most online casinos apply the requirements to the bonus amount + deposit, they are actually not that high.

But there were a few other terms and conditions I didn’t like. If a bonus has a greater match percentage than $100, the maximum winnings you can withdraw is $1,000.

Free spins bonuses, tournament wins, and Medal promotions also have a low withdrawal maximum of $100. If you’re playing a Betsoft or Rival game, the most you can wager per round is $5, or the casino will forfeit your bonus and winnings.

I wouldn’t recommend jumping on a bonus here without reading the fine print first. I’ll go over a few of the offers below so you can see what I mean.

Black Lotus 200% up to $7,000 Welcome Bonus

The site offers a 500% up to $7,500 + 150 free spins. The minimum you can deposit is $20, and the playthrough requirements are 60 times the bonus amount.

For example, I deposited $20 and received $40, so I was required to play through the $40 bonus 60 times, meaning I had to wager $2,400. On top of that, the max you can withdraw from this bonus is $1,000, which limits its value quite a bit.

That said, the 60x requirement applies only to the bonus—not the deposit—which actually puts it in line with other casinos.

For comparison, a 30x rollover on both the deposit and bonus would’ve meant wagering $1,800 in total ($60 x 30). So while the number looks high at first glance, the overall wagering isn’t far off.

The Free Spins Mania bonuses advertise varying amounts of free spins with no deposit required. But that simply isn’t true. The information is contradictory. Right underneath the headline, I learned you can’t claim them unless you make a deposit.

My gaming experience at Black Lotus was mediocre. The selection is on the small side, and it’s not that diverse. Table games were certainly lacking, although there were some live dealer options to make up for it.

Overall, the graphics were pretty good, but there were a lot of older-looking titles from Saucify. The slots aren’t in alphabetical order, but you can search for them by name. None of the games I explored had RTPs available, which made choosing what to play difficult.

Blackjack

The first Blackjack game I played was European. Unfortunately, I did poorly and brought my balance down to $47.59. Next, I played Atlantic City Blackjack and broke even. Lastly, I played Vegas Strip Blackjack and ended with $44.59.

This site has eight Blackjack games, which is a small amount. That said, there is a good variety and a wide range of betting limits. Some were as little as $1, while others went up to $1,000.

Black Lotus only has one roulette game outside of live dealers, and it’s the European variation. I played numerous rounds but ultimately lost more than I won, ending up with $42.59.

I was disappointed to find such a small Roulette selection. At least it was European Roulette, which has the highest RTP of all the variations, 97.3%.

The graphics were elementary, with a 2D depiction of the felt. I don’t need a lot of frills when it comes to Roulette, but the flat, bold letters and numbers started to make my eyes hurt after a few minutes.

The first video poker game I tried was Bonus Poker Deluxe, where I flipped between wins and losses but had terrible luck when I attempted to double my wins.

Here’s How I Tested It

While reviewing Black Lotus, I had a few questions. I took the opportunity to contact customer support using all available methods. Let’s take a look at how each interaction went.

For me, the user experience at Black Lotus Casino fell somewhat short. While I had no problems with the site’s overall design, it was glitchy. Every click resulted in a slow transition to the next page, games took a long time to load, and I was disconnected more times than I could count. 

Beyond that, however, the site is well-organized. There are links to everything you’d need on the left of the screen and your account information on the top right.

The Playback tab in your account provides a detailed record of every bet you’ve made. Searching for games is made easier with filters like jackpots, game lines, and max ways.

The layout of this site is intuitive and easy to use, so it’s a shame the technical difficulties overshadowed my experience.
